Indie Gamers
Yesterday, I was thinking about how with some forms of media, things that are less popular are often times much better. For the longest time, it’s been cooler or more hip to like something that’s less popular. There exists a whole culture of Indie music and movie lovers. And I’m wondering if something like this will ever happen in the video game world. For the time being, it seems like with video games, popularity still seems to be an indication of good quality. I couldn’t really imagine someone preferring to play less popular video games because he or she is sick of Rockstar Games’ commercial bullshit.
